During a meeting with the Finance Office in December, 2023 at Jadavpur University, PVC Amitava Datta requested GJUAF to consider a scholarship for a student, Biswadip Mishra. He was admitted to the Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Department at JU at JU 10 years ago. He was infected with tuberculosis. His condition deteriorated and eventually left the University. In 2023 he passed the Joint Entrance examination and was admitted to the Computer Science and Engineering Department at JU. Prof Bivas Dam of Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Department and Prof Nandini Mukherjee of Computer Science and Engineering Department recommended financial help for Mr. Mishra to continue his studies at JU. A computer for Mr. Mishra has also been requested.
